The Journal of Quantitative Analysis in Communication publishes the highest-quality empirical, theoretical, and methodological communication research, semi-annually in January and July. The Journal of Quantitative Analysis in Communication is an interdisciplinary platform that publishes articles representing a wide range of academic disciplines, including sociology, history, political science, literature, cultural and gender studies and a variety of research methods. Articles submitted to this journal must be original and not have been published elsewhere. It publishes articles that report empirical studies, develop communication theory, and enhance research methodology. All types of papers and research procedures are valued by the journal, including surveys, case studies, new methods, time series, conceptual analysis, and legal analysis.


All articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by two anonymous referees.


Aim and Scope

JQAC is an international journal devoted to the examination of the relationships between Communication Science and Quantitative method across a wide range of perspectives and settings, theoretical, different methodological approaches and applied. Topics include communication studies, media and critical thinking, media theories and techniques, media and human-computer interaction, cultural studies, media systems, media, identity and quantitative techniques, methodological researches.
